“Costume, Scenic Art, Theatre Design Exhibition”

Bristol Old Vic Theatre School

Bristol Old Vic Theatre School

Costume, Scenic Art, Theatre Design

Exhibition: 25 June - 3 July 2013

A unique insight into the collective creative talent and technical skills of the supporting production departments at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School.

The technical courses at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School are highly collaborative, with Theatre Design, Costume, Scenic Art and Technical departments working closely to produce theatre with professional production standards. This year, students have worked together on productions at the Redgrave Theatre, Circomedia, The Tobacco Factory, The Alma Tavern and the Bristol Old Vic.

The aim of this exhibition is to put all aspects of the production work that are normally ‘behind the scenes’ firmly in the limelight. The result of intensive training that has taken place in just one year at BOVTS, the work is of exceptional quality, and showcases the unique vocational training and collaborative skills offered by this long-established Bristol institution with a world-class reputation.
