SUMMARY

'The University of Bristol Drama Society presents a new production of Tom Stoppard's Arcadia. The show will run for a limited time of three days, on the 5th, 6th and 7th of March at the Redgrave Theatre, Clifton.

The show promises to be as visually sumptuous as it is intellectually stimulating; a fitting treatment of Stoppard’s finest work. With the ever-changing English countryside as its backdrop Arcadia oscillates between the past and present of a stately home, spanning three centuries of thought in art, science and sex.

Stoppard is heralded as one of the greatest playwrights of the twentieth century but he is often criticised for a lack of heart. This is by no means the case with Arcadia.
