SUMMARY

BRISTOL OLD VIC THEATRE SCHOOL

Directed by Roger Haines

Designed by Andrea Montag

“The howling of the wolf, the grunting of the hog, the braying of the ass, the nocturnal wooing of the cat, all these in unison could not be more hideous than the noise which these beings make in the Stock Exchange”. Commentator on Change Alley, London 1695.

Enter a world of finance where packs of traders and brokers make decisions that shape our lives. As their appetite for risk and dodgy deals reduces nations of people to mere statistics and figures, a trader is found dead, and morals are stretched to the limit as everything gets called into question.

Brother and sister Jake and Scilla are enjoying the pleasures and the comforts of the upper class. Until Jake turns up dead, seemingly murdered.

Scilla takes it upon herself to find her brother's killer but her quest soon becomes much more sinister as she enters and unearths the murky world of insider dealing, bribery and pure greed.

Time and logic begin to disintegrate into a fast paced, ferocious hunt for money where making a quick buck has a much higher price.
