SUMMARY

It is 1955 and on the wedding night of the young Eddie and Irene they are very much in love. But what happens after a happy ending? Twenty five years later? Fifty? How can their union cope with poverty, corruption, his ignorance, her aspiration, an ungrateful daughter, infidelity with a bloke from a night class, God knows how many miscarriages and even murder?

Richard Bean's breathtaking play sees young lovers Eddie and Irene as they grow and change, from their wedding night, to their Silver Wedding twenty five years later and their final meeting twenty five years after that, all playing out simultaneously in their Honeymoon suite. We invite you to literally be a fly on the wall as we transform Theatre Two into the hotel room where the couple's past and present co-exist and haunt each other.

Studiospace presents a funny, honest and immensely moving play about love, loss and the enduring power of memory from the illustrious writer of 'One Man Two Guv'nors', this is a theatrical event not to be missed.

Admission: £5(£4)
