SUMMARY

The Glass Menagerie is Tennessee Williams’ heart-rending depiction of a family’s claustrophobic existence and the illusions they maintain to try and escape reality in 1930s America. They battle love, loss and loneliness with increasing desperation, in a world where ‘the future becomes the present, the present the past, and the past turns into everlasting regret if you don't plan for it.'
