“a series of monthly spoken word performance launched last year”

Bristol Old Vic

Word of Mouth is a series of monthly spoken word performance launched last year in a brand spanking new collaboration between Bristol Old Vic, Word of Mouth and The Thunderbolt pub.

The range of work we have seen in the last six months has been simply amazing; from the nattily dressed Radio 4 stalwart Elvis McGonagall, through to the astounding verbal dexterity and modern gothic stories of Luke Wright; from the dazzling and astounding fireworks of Kate Tempest to the quirky world of the domestic goddess that is Rachel Pantechnicon. We have seen sold out nights and standing ovations.

So what next?

We're going to do it all over again in a whole new glorious season of spoken word nights...

Mon 21 Nov

Luke Kennard + Tom Philips

Luke Kennard is tall, nervous, polite and frequently scorches the end of his nose. An award-winning poet and short prose writer, he has, since an absurdly young age, been a major talking point of the spoken word world.

Admission: £8(£6)
